"When a photo becomes the image of a legendary event"

Last year, at the 2023 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, I had the honor of capturing a unique moment: the instant the winner crossed the finish line. That moment, which I had captured through my lens, would become much more than just another photograph.
The photo that stands out
This photo, capturing the 2023 champion’s triumph, was selected to represent this year’s event. Seeing this shot featured on the posters for the 2024 edition was a true honor. It appeared on the streets of Paris, on subway platforms, at bus stops, and in many other places. It was incredible to see my work displayed on such a large scale, in full view of so many passersby.
Pride on display everywhere
This poster campaign breathed new life into that moment I had captured with such passion. Every time I came across one of these posters, I felt an immense sense of pride. It was recognition not only of my work as a photographer, but also of my involvement in the fascinating world of horse racing.
Whether for horse racing fans or Parisians, this photo has made its way into the urban landscape, leaving a lasting impression. As a photographer, my role is to tell a story through my images, and this photo has captured a historic moment in horse racing.
