Winback: A video of motorcycle racer Geoffroy Dehaye at the Circuit Carole
Winback is a client I’ve been working with for five years now: I produce all of their video and photo content, with shoots designed to highlight their technology. For this new project, I spent a full day at the Circuit Carole, near Paris, with driver Geoffroy Dehaye, to document how he’s been using Winback’s technology since his injury.

The Client: Winback—TECAR Technology for Sports
Winback is a French company specializing in non-invasive medical technologies, founded in 2013. Its flagship technology is TECAR, a radiofrequency therapy used in physical therapy and sports medicine. According to a press release from its shareholder, Charterhouse, the brand supplies equipment to more than 15,000 clinics and practices in 55 countries. My role with the company: filming and photographing this technology in action, up close with the athletes who use it.
The driver: Geoffroy Dehaye, known as “Casimir”
Geoffroy Dehaye is a French motorcycle endurance racer. He was first introduced to racing in 2011 as a pit crew member at the 24 Heures Motos, before competing in the race himself the following year. He has been racing for several seasons with the Motobox Kremer Racing team on a Yamaha R1 and also coaches amateur riders on the track. His nickname, “Casimir,” comes from the orange outfit he wears so he can be easily spotted on the track, and his motto is “Strength and Honor” (24 Heures Motos, race).
The Story: Recovery Is Also Part of the Performance
After suffering a knee injury, Geoffroy was able to rely on the support of the Winback Academy to recover and gradually make his way back to the track. This support took place both at the clinic and directly at the racetracks, right in the midst of his track sessions—as was the case during this day at Circuit Carole, where Frédéric Delacour, president of the Winback Academy, was present. This is the story told in his post, which begins with a simple idea: recovery is part of performance. For an endurance rider, it influences results just as much as preparation on the bike.
A Day at the Track: Preparation, the Track, and an Interview
I followed Geoffroy throughout the day: his runs on the track, but also the more low-key moments, when he was preparing mentally and physically in his pit, partly assisted by Frédéric Delacour, president of the Winback Academy, and by the brand’s physical therapists. We also filmed an interview in which he shared his story and explained how he uses Winback technology in his daily life.

A photographer and videographer who knows the circuits and motorcycles
Racing on a track requires familiarity with the venue, safety rules, and the rhythm of a race weekend. I have ten years of experience with BMW on France’s most legendary circuits, notably the Le Mans circuit, where I’ve covered the 24 Hours of Le Mans race three times. I’m also a motorcyclist myself: I’m familiar with the world of mechanics, its techniques, and its terminology, and that was a real asset for me in accurately portraying this subject.

Behind the Scenes of the Filming
A few photos taken during the day: the interview setup and my camera at the edge of the runway.
